SCS Challenge - Strawberries n Cream / Wimbledon

Another week, another wicked

Rather than do the usual I thought I’d be different (me trying to be clever again!!) I then stumbled across Strawberry Shortcake (this took me back to my school days all them years ago), when my bff at the time had one of the dolls and we spent quite a bit of time sniffing her hat (it smelt of strawberries I’ll have you know!!!)

So I downloaded and printed off some copies of the image.  Coloured it with me Promarkers & Copics and did a bit of decoupage and Voila... the start of this weeks card.

I have become a Football Widow!!!!!  The only thing allowed on our TV between the hours of 2pm and 10pm (depending on extra time grrrr) is the Glorious (NOT!) game.  So after getting thoroughly stuffed off with it by Sunday I took myself over to the shop (Secret Crafter)  to get much some needed supplies.  By the time the match finished (don’t ask me which one it was, haven’t a flippin clue lol) me card was finished Hurrah!

Those of you who know me must realise this is an Olympic Record.  Tracie finishing a card in 2 days and not 3 weeks, WOW (give the girl a medal, Please xxxx).

I used the following supplies in the end (from Secret Crafter of course) ......
Make sure you pop over to the blogs of the other DT Girls for info on this weeks lurverly cards.

I hope you like me little creation and stay tuned for loads more xx

PS I forgot to add .....  DT Call over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - If you fancy joining us, check out the blog for more details

Well folks, it's my first official week on the Design Team at

This weeks challenge was titled Wedding/Anniversary and set by lovely Vicky.  And here is my first card...........

I only had just over a day to sort it out too cause everything happened a little quickly lol.

I decided to use the new stash that came in the other day as I hadn't had chance to play with it as yet.  It's Viva Decor's My Paper World.

  • Paper soft in Violet, Lilac and Lime Green for the background
  • Paper Pens in Lime Green mixed with Opal (you've gotta give these a try.  So much better than Liquid Pearls.  They give you a proper dome effect instead of the pointy bit) on the stencil, sprinkled with Holo Glitter and just Opal for the pearl effect highlights (see Vickies Blog and scroll for more details and a comparison)
  • Stencils from the 4 Borders collection
I used a Woodware Wedding stamp that Wendy ordered for me last year but never used (how typical of us crafters, "Ooooh I gotta have it" but it sits in a drawer forgotten for ages before it's used lol) I just highlighted it with my Prisma colour pencils and Sansador for a subtle look.  Just because we all like  a bit of bling I used me Stickles on the flowers and collar of the dress.
Well I hope you like me first challenge card and here's to many more.
Please pop along to my fellow DT members blogs and have a peek at their cards for this weeks challenge (they're just a bit fabulous u know) and join in with the challenge for a chance to win some stash from Wendy at Secret Crafter

Oooooh i've been a REALLY, REALLY, REALLY bad blogger!!!

Readers please forgive me, for I have committed the ultimate sin! It has been nearly 2 years since I last blogged.
So much happened after I picked up my car that by the time I thought about me blog I had forgotten what it was called and how to get into it lol.
The rundown was that I got me luurvely new car, found me a new home (6 weeks wait for the broadband connection grrrr), a new computer (hence the fact I lost all me bookmarks and passwords), changed me E-mail address aaaannnnnd ...... bagged me a sweetie pie to share it all with hehe.
All of this on top of me bezzie mate opening her own craft shop,

and helping her run it (but this is such a chore.... you know, getting me hands on all this new crafting stuff and getting to use it first woo hoo!) I must be forgiven a little for neglecting me blog.
When Wendy decided to start her own challenge blog, Jane an Wendy put their heads together and sorted out a Design Team, but guess what, I couldn’t be on it (BOOOOOOOO) Didn’t have a piggin blog (well did but couldn’t find it!)
Then one day last week up popped a little moderation email from Blogger.  Someone had made a comment on my blog (hurrah).  Ok I deleted it cause it was for some 18+ site (boooo).  I followed the link, bookmarked it pretty smartish and pressed the “I’m sooo stupid I forgot me password” link and TADAAAAAAA password reset email in me inbox and here I am at last (woop woop).
Aaanyway, BIG NEWS............
Guess who is the newest member of the

Design Team!!!!

Meeeeeeeeeeeeee, yaaaaaaaaay
So keep your eyes peeled for me weekly cards and feel free to drop me a line or even join in for the chance to win some freebie stash courtesy of Wendy at Secret Crafter.
See u all soon

Sarah Kay stamps

The Secret Crafter Website now has the new Sarah Kay stamps in stock and we had a play with them at our card class the other day.

This is one of the cards that we came up with by the end of a very enjoyable evening.

Craft Items used:-

Sarah Kay "Picnics of Dasies" clear stamp. Image stamped with Black Stazon and coloured with Prisma pencils, blended with paper stumps and Sansador.

Patterned paper from DCWV Stack - Blossoms & Butterflies. The Butterflies were also cut out from one of the papers and curled to give a bit of movement. I love this stack as although it is called paper it is more like card. It's also glittered and foiled in really vibrant summer colours.

All items are available from Secret Crafter but some of the Sarah Kay stamps are selling really fast so you need to be quick.

I will eventually pick my car up today. It's been over 2 weeks now and I can't wait to get my sticky mitts on it lol.

Sugar Nellie

I received my new Sugar Nellie stamps from Funky Kits yesterday and I've been playing!!

Marlene's Blog is truly inspirational and this is not the first time I have pinched her idea's. I love the different ways she uses her card blanks not the usual square cards. She also has some blog candy available. You have until the 25th to leave a comment so get over there, marvel at her wonderful cards and leave a comment.

For this card I used a 6x6 blank. I think I should of used a slightly smaller one as she looks a little lost against the background. But live and learn from your mistakes.

I used Bazzil Bling in Red Carpet and Bank Roll for the mats. Basic Grey Pheobe supplied the patterned and green paper. Added bling to the scallops and chalked the edges with a Cats Eye pad. The Elizabeth Bell stamp "Pen Pal" is colours with my Prisma pencils and blended with Sansador. Blossoms are from my stash and the brad is a Making Memories sparkly one.

I hope you like and Marlene thank you again for the inspiration.

ps. Should get my new car on Weds. I went for the Silver one in the end.

Happy Crafting

21st Birthday

Sorry I've not been on recently. Been looking for a new car, a Citroen C2 VTS. Yes I am a boy racer at heart lol. Let you know when I find which one I like. Toying between Sport Red, Artic Steel and Black

Anyhow's I have been busy making a 21st Birthday card for one of the lads at work. I designed it in the Klick n Kut Studio Elements (a version of the Craft Robo Design Master) and cut out the cardbase, front elements and the insert on my Klick n Kut.

I have used an Edwin out of my stash to sit on the front and highlighted the Happy Birthday on the background papers with Stickles. I also chalked the edges of the word Steven with a darker blue to soften the Bazzil Bling as it looked a very harsh white against the dark blue

THAT Magenta Stamp!

After seeing the beautiful creations Kim over at Simply Fairies has been creating using a lovely Magenta stamp (including her new Blog Header), I just had to get it.

Well after just a few pounds! spent at the Glitter Pot, my parcel arrived on Wednesday and this is what I have come up with so far.....

I used K&Co Verbena & Peabody 8x8 paper pad, Prima Quick Pick Grape Hyacinth Hydrangers, Magenta Blooms & Flourishes stamp and one of the new Cuttlebug Borders (with Love) folders from
The Secret Crafter shop.

I decided to get out my Sakura Stardust pens instead of my Prisma Pencils and watercolour the image. It gives a lovely shimmery sparkle to the image.

Thank you again Kim for the inspiration.
